Christoffer Gebhardt

Christoffer Gebhardt is Professor of Dermatooncology and Experimental Dermatology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) at Hamburg, Germany. He heads the University Skin Cancer Center Hamburg and serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology. Additionally, he is a board member oft he University Comprehensive Cancer Center Hamburg and heads the Fleur Hiege Center for Skin Cancer Research. His main areas of activity are clinical treatment and research of malignant melanoma and other forms of skin cancer with a focus on immunotherapy as well as on molecular diagnostics including liquid biopsy. His research interests span from mechanistic insights into immuno-resistance and metastasis to design of biomarker-guided clinical trials. He is a board member of the German Dermatological Oncology Working Group (DeCOG/ADO) and has served as board member of the German Society of Experimental Dermatology (ADF). Additionally, he is executive board member of the German Skin Cancer Foundation and the Roggenbuck Foundation.
