Sophie Piperno-Neumann

After a Board certification in Medical Oncology, Dr Sophie Piperno-Neumann completed a fellowship and pursued as Assistant Professor at Paris XIII University.  In 2001, she joined the Institut Curie, being currently in charge of sarcoma and uveal melanoma patients. Her work has focused on translational and clinical research in the field of uveal melanoma, leading the clinical research program in these rare tumors at Curie Paris.

She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the International Society of Ocular Oncology (ISOO), the Ophthalmic Oncology Group (OOG), the Soft Tissue and Bone Tumors Group, and the Melanoma Group of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). She is involved in Patient Advocacy Groups in France (Infosarcome), and in French and international networks for rare tumors (Netsarc, Resos, Melachonat, Euracan, IRCI).
